Virgin Islands Institute of Biblical and Educational Studies (V.I.I.B.E.S.) was started in the year 2003 as an extension of the Christian Education arm of our church. The school offers courses and credits from Evangelical Training Association. Students are able to earn four certificates: Foundational Church Ministries Certificate, Standard Church Ministries Certificate, Advanced Church Ministries Certificate and Leadership in Church Ministries Certificate. Students earning either an Advanced Church Ministries Certificate or a Leadership in Church Ministries Certificate may graduate upon completion of their course of studies.

The school offers 20 courses in four major subject areas :

Bible and Theology: Biblical Beliefs, New Testament Survey, Old Testament Survey 1 & 2, The Triune God, You and Your Bible

Ministry Skills: Sunday School Ministry, Church Educational Ministries, Growing Toward Spiritual Maturity, Teaching Techniques, Understanding Music & Worship, Understanding Teaching, VBS & Other Summer Ministries

Leadership Skills: Christian Ethics in a Post Modern World, Effectively Leading, Perspectives from Church History, Understanding People

Outreach Skills: Beyond Reasonable Doubt, World Missions Today, Your Ministry of Evangelism

In addition the school offers courses on the Holy Spirit and His Gifts, Counseling and Homiletics. Courses offered are subject to availability of lecturers and availability of time.
The school is yet to launch the other half of its program which will assist students in gaining skills in conversational Spanish, computer skills and preparation for GED.
